Speaking, Board & Interim

Contribution beyond the advisory brief.

Alongside advisory engagements, I speak, chair and take on formal roles where system experience is useful in the room — on a platform, around a board table, or leading a programme directly.

01

Speaking and chairing

Keynotes, panel contributions and facilitated sessions for conferences, system events and board development days. Sessions are drawn from delivery experience rather than theory, and are written for the audience in the room.

  • Neighbourhood health and the design of Integrated Community Teams
  • Urgent and emergency care flow: what actually shifts demand
  • Delegated primary care commissioning and PCN development
  • Holding transformation to sequence when governance is shared

Non-executive and board appointments

Available for non-executive director, trustee, advisory board and committee chair roles where commissioning insight, provider operational understanding and transformation scrutiny add value to the board's collective view.

  • NHS trust, foundation trust and provider collaborative boards
  • Committee chairing, including quality, performance and primary care
  • Charity and social enterprise trusteeship in health and care
  • Advisory board membership for organisations working with the NHS

Interim and programme leadership

Where a system needs someone to lead rather than advise: interim director cover, or acting as Senior Responsible Officer for a programme through its most demanding phase. Recent experience includes SRO of a system-wide UEC Improvement Programme, directing the mobilisation of out-of-hospital Urgent Care Hubs in partnership with acute trusts and system partners, avoiding 200+ ED attendances within the first two weeks.

  • Interim director cover across commissioning, community and urgent care
  • SRO leadership for multi-workstream transformation programmes
  • Recovery leadership where delivery has stalled
  • Mobilisation leadership for new operating models
Discuss an interim requirement

If you are shaping a programme, an event or a board, it is worth a conversation.
